Jo Ann Tankersley age 79, of Bivins, Texas went to be with the Lord Wednesday, September 12, 2018 in a local adult care facility. Jo Ann was born December 27, 1938 in Avenger, Texas to Felix and Florence Hagood. She was a homemaker and a member of the Atlanta Seventh Day Adventist Church.

She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and traveling with her husband. She was preceded in death by her sister, Lula Mae Chamblee; brother, Hershel Hagood and her parents. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Bethsaida “Y” Cemetery under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service, with Pastor John Taylor officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, September 15, 2018 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Hanner Funeral Service.
