Obituary for Jo Ellen “Jody” Campbell On June 28, 2018, Jo Ellen (Jody) Campbell was reunited in heaven with her parents, Herb and Loma Kramer and her grandparents, Roy and Charlotte Griggs. Jody spent her final days surrounded by her family sharing stories, laughter and love. Born on March 25, 1943 Jody grew up in Kennewick, WA yet frequently traveled by train to live with her grandparent’s in Forsyth, MT.

Some of her best memories were of her adventures at her grandparents home. After starting a family in the Tri Cities, Jody moved to Puyallup, WA and began a career in Real Estate. In 1976 she and her children returned to Richland, WA and Jody worked for the Benton County Assessor until her retirement.

Happily retired, Jody discovered a passion for genealogy. She tirelessly researched her ancestral lines and enthusiastically shared her finds. Jody enjoyed making new friends on Facebook, movie nights with her grandkids and listening to her Christian radio station.

Jody was a loving mother, sister, grandma, great-grandma and aunt. She had a generous heart and was kind to everyone including all of God’s little furry creatures. Jody is survived by her four children, Lori Gilmour (George), Cherie Graydon (Bob), Dennis Piert (Toni), Randal Piert (Danelle).

Her siblings Doug Campbell (Delia), Marian Tomich (Rudy), Dave Campbell (Carol), Joe Kramer (Debbie), Dana Couch (Darrell) and her 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Jody’s family would like to thank the many people at Chaplaincy Hospice House. A special thank you to Joi, Lucy, Courtney and Natalie who lovingly cared for Jody in the comfort of her home.
