Joan C. (McKenney) Morrison of Level Green had many titles. She was called Daughter, Wife, Mother, Mom, Grandma, Grandma Joan, Grandma Mommy, Sister, Sis, Aunt, Auntie, Friend and Neighbor. She passed away on June 7, 2018 at the age of 77 in the Western Pennsylvania Hospital, Pittsburgh after a brief illness.

Joan was born on November 2, 1940 in Southington, CT the daughter of the late Wilfred and Naomi (Granniss) McKenney. Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Morrison Jr, her sister, Patricia Stanish and her brother Wilfred McKenney Jr. Joan is survived by her children Paul E. Morrison III and Pamela Elber of Sewickley, PA, Gary Alan and Nancy Morrison of Lenexa, KS and Richard Burton and Dawn Morrison of Blacklick, OH; her granddaughter, Elizabeth Lee Morrison and her sister, Carolyn (Robert) Mansolf. She is also survived by her very special friends Pat Lamb of FL, Freda Hill of PA, Rosie Heartley of IA, and Hellen Marra of PA.

As Joan would tell anyone, she had a wonderful life! She had enthusiasm and zest for life and a wonderful disposition. Everyone she met was another new friend to say hi too.

She greatly enjoyed her vacations with her family. Joan always seemed to have the right words of comfort at the right time and a hug to go along with it. She was the glue that held our family together and we could not have asked for a better Mother!

The world needs more people like her. The world is emptier without her but heaven rejoices! Her zest for Christmas was very contagious!

Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 3-6 PM at the John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home Inc., 702 7th St. (State Rt. 130), Trafford 412-372-3111. Additional visitation will be held from 10AM until the time of the service at 11AM on Monday in the funeral home.

Entombment will follow in the Penn-Lincoln Mausoleum, N. Huntingdon. In Lieu of flowers, monetary donations will be donated to her favorite charities including the Trafford Food Bank and various Veterans organizations.
