OBITUARY Joan Cecilia Scott September 6, 1934 – November 21, 2018 Scott, Joan Cecilia, age 84, went to be with her heavenly father Nov. 21, 2018. Joan was a devout Catholic.

She attended St. Mary’s Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception for 69 years; she sang in the choir and was on the altar society for many years during that time. She was a parishioner at St. Francis of Assisi for the last 14 years. Joan was a prayer warrior.

She prayed the Rosary continuously and kept track of all those in need of prayer. Joan was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who spent as much time as she could with her grandchildren. She diligently prayed for them to succeed in all of their endeavors.

Joan was a kind and wonderful person who will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, James A Scott and daughter, Theresa Marie Scott. She is survived by her daughters, Jacque (Ron) Clupny and Jan (John) White; son, James F. “Jim” (Cheryl) Scott; brother, Eugene Koester; sister, Kay Dye; 13 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren.

A Rosary will be held 7 p.m. Mon. Nov. 26, 2018, and Mass of the Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Tues.

Nov. 27, 2018, both at St. Francis of Assisi, 861 N. Socora, Wichita, KS 67212. Memorials may be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice 929 N. St. Francis, Wichita, Kansas 67204.
