Joan M. Schoenecker, 92, of Plymouth passed away Monday October 22, 2018 at the Atrim Post Acute Care of Plymouth. Joan was born October 19, 1926, a daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Carberry) Hasson. Joan attended Waldo Grade School and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1944.

On September 13, 1952 she married Eugene W. Schoenecker in the Town of Mitchell. They owned the Main Gate Tavern in Glenbeulah from 1976 until 1989. Her husband preceded her in death on August 13, 1996.

Joan was a member of the Green-Glen Lions Club. She also worked at the Plymouth Fair in stand Number 1 for 20 years. She was also famous for her German Potato Salad.

Survivors includes one son George (Pam) of Littleton, Colorado, one daughter, Mary Morton of Plymouth; three grandchildren Kevin Morton and Sarah Schuette both of Plymouth, Susie Morton of Madison WI; two great grandchildren, Ethan and Elsa Schuette of Plymouth; two sisters in Law, Pauline Schoenecker of Allenton, Wi and Laura Iserloth of Glenbeulah WI. She was preceded in death by her sister Delores A. Hintz and brothers Kenneth and Edward Hasson; her mother and father in law, Edward and Marie Schoenecker and brothers in law and sister in law, William Schoenecker (Wimpy), Ray and Elaine Weiss and Charles Iserloth. A memorial service for Joan will be held Monday, October 29 at 7 P.M. at Wittkopp Funeral and Cremation Service, 123 South Street in Plymouth with Rev Dennis Van Beek officiating.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00P.M. until the time of service. Inurnment will be in Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Joan’s name.
