She was born in South Amboy and has resided in Edison for the past 60 years. Joan was a Lab Technician with Bristol Meyer Squibb in North Brunswick for 15 years before retiring to raise her family.

She enjoyed playing tennis and skiing. Joan was predeceased by her husband Richard in 2006. She is survived by her daughter Kerry Citrano of Toms River and two grandchildren Devan and Lauren.

Private services were held at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home 23 Ford Avenue, Fords.
