Joan M. Collins, 85, of Colonia passed away on Sunday, September 9th. Joan was the daughter of the late William and Margaret Brezina. Joan was born and raised in Elizabeth NJ.

Joan was a graduate of Battin High School in Elizabeth NJ. She moved to Colonia in 1960. Joan was very active in her community.

She served as president of the PTO for Oak Ridge Heights elementary school, Colonia Junior High and Colonia Senior High. Joan was also a long time Committee woman for the Middle County Democratic Organization. Joan was awarded the Citizen of The Year in 1983 by the Colonia VFW Post 6061.

Joan was predeceased by her husband Walter of 44 years, and her brother William. Joan is survived by her brother Ronald, her children, Linda, Scott and Greg and by her grandchildren, Nicholas, Brian, Lindsay and Nicole. Visitation Thursday September 13, 2018 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at the Gosselin Funeral Home 660 New Dover Road Edison.

Funeral services Friday September 14, 2018 at 10:00Am at the funeral home followed by a 11:00AM Mass at St John Vianney RC Church Colonia. Interment Fairview Cemetery, Westfield.
