Joan Marie Brenner (nee Zgliczynski), 88, formerly of Palatine and Barrington, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 19, 2019. She was born August 15, 1930 in Chicago to George and Stella (nee Bajorek) Zgliczynski, Joan was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She treasured her family and would often say she was so blessed.

Joan is survived by her loving children, Donna (Paul) Schardt, Larry (Mariaelana) Brenner, Robert Brenner, Richard (Joan) Brenner, Mark (Melissa) Brenner, and Ann (Rick) Cotner; brother, George (Jo Anne) Glynn. She was a proud and cherished grandmother to16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Anthony Joseph Brenner, of 62 years.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 24, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:15 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life Mass at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Anne Catholic Community, 120 Ela Street (corner of Franklin and Ela Street) Barrington, Illinois 60010. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joan’s name may be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation or Catholic Charities.
