Joan Tinsley, age 67, of Ellijay, formerly of Cumming, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2019. She was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church. Joan was preceded in death by her mother, Bernice Trammel.

Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Johnny Tinsley of Ellijay; father, Horace Trammel of Ellijay; step-son, Jackie Tinsley; step-daughter, Lesley Tinsley; granddaughter, Jennifer Chambers, great grandchildren, Gracie Earls, Liam Chambers, Landon Chambers; brother, Tommy Trammel; nephews, D. C. Trammel, Zach Trammel; special friend, Kimberly Boim; numerous uncles, aunts and other cousins also survive. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 10th at 3:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donnie Nix and Rev.

Kent Samples officiating. Interment will follow in New Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Saturday from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Sunday from 12:00 pm until hour of the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask donations be made to New Harmony Baptist Church. Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming is in charge of arrangements.
