OBITUARY Joan V Pearson June 8, 1937 – January 26, 2019 Play Tribute Movie Joan Pearson, age 81, of Pensacola, Florida passed away on Saturday January 26, 2019. Joan was born in Black, Alabama on June 8, 1937 to Essie and Enos VanLandingham. Joan retired from accounting at UWF’s comptroller’s office and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagle’s and Amvets.

Joan is preceded in death by her loving parents; her husband Sam Pearson; and a brother Drew VanLandingham. She is survived by her daughters, Kathy (Fred) Haushalter and Susan (Alan) McDaniel; brother Charley (Bonnie) VanLandingham; grandchildren, Ryan Haushalter, Lauren Haushalter, Lindsay Martin, Kelly McDaniel, Cara McDaniel, and Jacob McDaniel; and 4 great-grandchildren. A visitation & reception for Joan will be held Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, 619 New Warrington Road, Pensacola, FL 32506.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 31, 2019 from 10:00 am to 10:30 am followed by the graveside service at Barrancas National Cemetery at 11:00 am. Serving as pallbearers are Alan McDaniel , Jacob McDaniel , Fred Haushalter and Lynn VanLandingham. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.
