Obituary for Joanna Margaret Holt Joanna Margaret Holt, was born September 14, 1931, in Macon, Missouri. She passed away in Kennewick, Washington, on June 6, 2018 of cancer. She lived in many places before settling here in Tri-Cities, Washington.

As a child she lived in Marceline, Missouri. Where she fell in love with her first husband, Earl Holt. She traveled with him and their cat Oscar from coast to coast, while he was in the navy.

She was proud to have worked at the Pentagon, while he served overseas. She then lived in Marceline and worked in the yearbook publishing business before moving to Pasco in 1964. Where she worked for Pischel Yearbook company for 18 years.

Later she worked for Kaiser as a computer graphic designer. She was very good with a keyboard and liked to keep up with technology, and like all of us, was frusterated at times with the changing computer technology stuff, so we all helped her with it. She could operate a Kindle, a Surface, a Macintosh and a PC.

She kept up with family using Facebook and could online shop like an expert. She was a strong independent woman and liked companionship. She remarried in 2013 with Dan Putnam after a long relationship.

They spent a few years in Yakima before moving to West Richland to be closer to her family. In her retirement years she and Dan would take long trips across the country in his 5th wheel and even drove to Alaska. She also loved cats.

Her and Dan had their own favorite cat. She is survived by her brother Merle Foster (Dorothy), Sister Kathy Anderson (Roger), daughter Dana Worthington (Bob), son Philip Holt (Tammy), granddaughter Mindy Stephens (Jeremiah) and great grandchildren Bryce and Jayce. Step grandchildren Paul Worthington and Lisa Worthington.

She loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husbands Earl Holt and Dan Putman. Graveside services at Mueller’s Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 1401 S. Union, Kennewick, Washington, Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at 12:00 pm.
