He was born June 21, 1964 in Covington, LA to parents Donnie McGee and Luella (Ballard) McGee. Joe moved to Lampasas at age 6 and attended schools here.

He graduated from Lampasas High School. He later worked for Schwans for many years in sales and had owned and operated a tire shop. He moved to St. Robert, MO in 2006.

His first wife Gabriele McGee preceded him in death as did his mother Luella McGee. He is survived by his wife, Verna McGee of MO Daughters; Amy Minton (Stephen), Jodi Sawyer (Scott), Stacy Berg (Mark), Amber Butcher (Billy), Chelsey Rososko (Chez). Grandchildren; Michael and Brayden Minton, Vance Sawyer, Eddie (Kasandra) and Eric Berg, Ember and Aubrey Atkins, Roy and Russell Butcher, Claira and Carlen Rososko, Jillian and Georgia Kinsler.

Father, Donnie McGee and wife Janice Sister, LuAnn Uhler (Benny) Brother, James McGee (Gayla) Many nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral service will be Tuesday May 7, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas, Texas.
