Obituary for Joe Neil Patrick Jr. Joe was born to Joe Neil Patrick and Gracie Mae Bonner Patrick in Salt Lake City, Utah when his father was stationed there with the United States Air Force. He was raised between air force bases and the Sandersville-Heidelberg area and then settled in Biloxi, MS with his family. Joe joined the United States Navy at the age of 17 during the Vietnam War.

He was in the Navy for a total of 12 years, which included being in Operation Desert Storm with Cargo Handling Battalion 13, out of Gulfport, MS. He could drive anything he wanted to drive. He was a nursing assistant who loved his clients, a welder, a chicken catch crew leader, a metal roofer, and a baker.

Joe did what it took to support himself, when he was able. He leaves behind his mother, Gracie Patrick of Sandersville; his wife of a few months, Donna Johnson Patrick of Hattiesburg; his sons, Damon (Amber) Patrick of Petal and Jonas Patrick of Heidelberg; his sister, Debra Brownlee of Sandersville; four beautiful grandchildren; and many cousins, aunts, uncles, and step-children. A graveside service will be held at Bonner Cemetery at 3 p.m. Monday, December 10, 2018.
