Obituary for Joel Dean Cloe Joel Dean Cloe passed away peacefully on Memorial Day, May 28, 2018, Memorial Day in Pasco, Washington at the age of 74 after a long battle with cancer connected to his service in Vietnam. Joel is survived by his Mother, Jeanne Cloe of Newport, Oregon; Wife, Linda Cloe of Richland Washington; Brother, Don Cloe of Las Vegas, Nevada; Sister, Linda Shultz of Alamo, California; Children, David Cloe of Spokane, Washington; Dan Cloe and Deana Bower of South Beach, Oregon; Mark Brown, Kevin Brown and Stacy McCorkle of Tri-Cities, Washington; and 12 grandchildren. His Father, Amos “Tate” Cloe of Newport precedes him in death.

Joel was born on December 27th 1943 in North Bend, Oregon to Jeanne and Tate Cloe. He graduated from Newport High School in 1962. Joel traveled the world working on many projects in the seafood industry.

Joel married Linda in a small ceremony in 1988. After moving to Edmonds, Washington, Joel began working for Trident Seafood’s as a Project Manager in Akutan, Alaska, Henningsen Cold Storage and later at PermaCold. Joel retired in 2006 and started playing more golf.

Joel also loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and going to the casino. The family is honoring Joel’s request that no services or viewing be held. The family and friends will be having a Celebration of Life BBQ on July 16, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Cloe home to laugh, joke and tell stories.

The family would like to thank all the Nurses, Aids and medical staff at Chaplaincy Hospice care and Avalon Rehabilitation center in the Tri-cities for their dedication and compassion they have shown Joel and his family through this difficult time.
