Joellen E. Belts, 77, of Overland Park, Kansas died Tuesday, January 2, 2019 at the Forum in Overland Park, Kansas. Joellen was born October 4, 1941 in Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated from the Ursuline Academy in Paola, Kansas in 1959 and from St. Mary’s School of Nursing, which was located in Kansas City, Missouri.

She was employed by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City, Missouri for 28 years until her retirement in 2000. She was an avid football fan, following both Notre Dame and the Kansas City Chiefs. She loved reading history and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband George of the home, her son Christopher and granddaughter Kallie. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Joellen to: American Heart Association 6800 West 93rd Street Overland Park, KS 66212 Service times and place will be posted soon.
