Legath, 91, of Northampton, passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospice House. She was the wife of the late Michael J. Legath. Born July 22, 1927 in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Johanna (Dirnthaler) Dischinat.

Johanna was a sewing machine operator for Greiff Co. and Tama Manufacturing for many years. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Bath. Survivors: son, Robert; grandsons, Michael and Christian; brother, Alfred; sisters, Rose Zatsko and Angela Paukovits and husband, Stephen; many nieces and nephews.

Johanna was predeceased by an infant son, Michael; sister, Anna Daumer; and brothers, Edward, John, Joseph and Adolph. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 27th at 2:00 p.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 210 E. Northampton St., Bath. Family and friends may call Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton.

Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorials be presented to any catholic school of your choice c/o funeral home in loving memory of Johanna. Online condolences may be submitted above.
