John C. Bryden, Schuylkill Haven, passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2018. He was the first of three children born to John and Elizabeth (Glasmire) Bryden in the borough of Mechanicsville. John enjoyed many years as the owner of Forget Me Not Florist in Pottsville.

He was part of the Achitectural Review Board in saving the Henry Clay Monument on the hill overlooking outh Centre Street in Pottsville. John and his wife, the former Linda Koperna celebrated 50 years of marriage on September 14. Surviving in addition to his wife Linda are his brother Robert and his wife Kathy and their son Robbie, Pottsville.

His sister Donna and her husband John Udit, Lancaster, and their sons Scott and Jason. He is also survived by his cousins Jim Thomas, Jeannie Heberling and her daughters Sandy and Linda, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and Diane Glassmire. Friends and family will dearly miss him and the sorrow we feel at our loss.

A Celebration of John’s life will be held 2 PM Saturday November 17 at Grace United Methodist Church, Port Carbon. Family and friends are welcome to visit from 1:30 PM until the time of service. Schhlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home 515 West Market Street Pottsville has been entrusted with arrangements.
