John Edward Coddington, 90, died Thursday July 12, 2018 at Wilson Hospital following a brief illness. He is predeceased by his wife Dolores J. Coddington on October 16th, 2016; a sister Mary; brother Joseph, and parents Veronica and Edward Coddington. John leaves behind two sons Timothy Coddington (Laura), Stephen Coddington (Theresa); three grandchildren Todd, Aaron and Christina Coddington; one great-grandson Carter Lynch; two brothers Eugene and Edward; sister Caroline DeFalco as well as many nieces and nephews.

John grew up during the great depression, he provided the family with additional income working in a grocery store and delivering newspapers in Susquehanna, PA. at age 17, he joined the Navy during WWII, serving in the South China Sea on the Valley Forge (CV-45) and Pine Island (AV-12). John retired from IBM as a member of the quarter century club and took employment driving armored car for several years.

Prior to retirement John serviced as an Assistant Police Chief for the Town of Windsor until it closed. John loved building houses and was an avid reader. He loved books and John Wayne movies.

He will also be sadly missed by his beloved cats, Mittens and Trouble. At his request, there will be no Funeral Services.
