John D. Grace Jr., 71, of Hudson, NH, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 27, 2019. Born in Manchester and son of John and Mary, he was one of six children raised in a loving family. A long-time resident of Hudson and the founder of Hudson Paving, John enjoyed a full life surrounded by his wife of 42 years, Sandy Grace who passed in 2011.

His son, Mike and wife Denissa and his daughter, Melanie and husband Kevin. He was well known in the community and had a very strong network of friends. John was passionate for the outdoors, fishing, hunting and boating.

His lake house on Goose Pond in Hanover, NH and winter retreat on Marco Island, FL were second homes to him and his family. He was very proud to have been able to share these experiences with his family and four grandchildren, Jackson, Caleigh, Sammy and Mikey whom he loved very much. John is survived by his children and grandchildren and will be deeply missed.

Life will not be the same without him, but the stories of his life will continue to be told and respected by those who loved him so much. Services will be held on Friday, May 31st from 2pm-3:45pm at the Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Ferry St., Hudson, NH with a Prayer Service immediately following in the Funeral Home. The family will be holding a private burial at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested a donation to support John’s passion of the outdoors to the NH Fish and Game Club (wildlife. state. nh.
