Luker Sr., 91, passed away on Monday December 17th, 2018 after a two-year fight with cancer. He was born in Wilcox County, Alabama May 25th, 1927, the son of Elijah J. and Bernice (Morgan) Luker. John grew up in Camden Alabama and served in both WWII and the Korean War.

He eventually settled in Pensacola where he built his business Raley’s Hermetic Rebuilders, INC. He loved fishing, gardening, and visiting with family. He was preceded in death by his parents Elijah and Bernice Luker, Brother William Luker, Sisters Joe Ella McGraw and Flora Middleton, Son Richard Mathis, former spouses Jane Luker, and Lisa Luker.

He is survived by his Brother James Luker, Sisters Rosa Cleveland, Mary Brown, Sara Rinehart; sons, John Luker Jr. (Vickie) and Dennis Luker (Jodie); daughters, Tammy Nall (Isaac) and Sharon Hayes (Bill); grandchildren, John III, William, Holly, Dwayne, and Eric; 5 great grandchildren. Special thanks to Shirley Aaron and Cindy Fisher for their care and friendship. John’s nephew Bill McGraw will officiate at the service to be held at the Waters and Hibbert Funeral Home in Pensacola with internment following at the Barrancas Military Cemetery on Thursday, December 27th, 2018.

Visitation will begin at 11:00am, the Service will begin at 12:00pm and internment at 1pm. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the American Cancer Society. WATERS & HIBBERT FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
