OBITUARY Sidney W. Gunn July 1, 1924 – December 16, 2018 Sidney Walter Gunn 1924-2018 Sidney Walter Gunn, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 16, 2018. He was born in Alabama and was a long-time resident of Cantonment. Mr. Gunn leaves behind four sons: Lomax (Alice), Kenny, Michael (Judy) and Richard Gunn; grandchildren: Susan Hennessey, Kenny (Shana) Gunn, Jr., Michael Gunn, Jeremy (Julia) Gunn, Amanda (Clint) Forst and Jennifer (Tony) Yuhasz; great-grandchildren: Monica Oglesby, Kenny Gunn III, Kannon Gunn, Trey and Adain Yuhasz, Haley, Courtney and Caitlyn Forst, and Jackson and Ethan Gunn; and two great-great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his loving wife of 67 years, Eunice Gunn; a son, Jerry Lavaughn Gunn and great-grandson Tommy Hennessey. Mr. Gunn served in the U.S. Army during World War II and spent his career working for International Paper Company before retiring. Friends are cordially to join the family for a visitation on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home, immediately followed by a service.
