Obituary for John Ephraim Foster John Ephraim Foster John E. Foster, 74, passed away Thursday, November 1, 2018 at his home in Carneys Point. Mr. Foster recently returned to Carneys Point after spending time in Virginia Beach and Florida. Born in Salem, NJ, he was a 1963 graduate of Woodstown High School, and served 3 years in the US Navy.

John was a master woodworker and carver. He spent much of his retirement with his tools, designing and creating furniture and toys for family and friends. He retired in 2004 after 20 years as Buildings and Grounds Supervisor for the Penns Grove, Carneys Point School District.

He was a member and past Master of Penns Grove-Excelsior Lodge #54 F&AM, past Patron of Penns Grove Lodge #86 OES of NJ and a member of Glassboro Forest #1, Tall Cedars of Lebanon. He is predeceased by his parents, Roy B, Sr. and Harriet (LaBombard) Foster, two brothers, Glendon and Roy B., Jr and his sister Frances. Mr. Foster is survived by his wife, Donna (Stewart), four children, Robert (Sharon) Foster, Terry Schmitz, Melissa (Michael) Mackey and Jennifer (Ronald W.) Morrison, his brother Laurence J (Orly), 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, cousins, nephews and nieces.

A Celebration of Life and Masonic Service will be held Thursday, November 8, 2018 at The Penns Grove-Excelsior Lodge #54 F&AM, Georgetown Road, Carneys Point. Friends are welcome to visit between 10 am and 11 am, and invited to remain for the services at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Salem County Human Society in remembrance of his beloved fur buddies, Easy and Emmett.
