Obituary for John Ernest Valentine John Ernest Valentine age 83, passed away January 10, 2019. John was born in Columbus, Ohio December 28, 1935 to the late Arthur and Isabel Valentine. He attended Grove City High School and then served in the U. S. Army.

He was a member of the Lithopolis VFW Post #677 and the Groveport-Lockbourne Masonic Lodge. He retired as a Teamster truck driver after 37 years, driving over 1 million miles during his career. He was known for loving his family, having a great sense of humor, and being kind-hearted.

He is survived by his wife, Ida of 53 years; sons, John (Kathy) Valentine of Carroll, Ohio and Scott (Tracy) Valentine of Morgan Hill, California. Grandchildren, Bradley (Kaci), Emileigh, Natalie, Kelsey, and Jason; sister, Georgialia (Stan) Hannah, many other family members, good friends, and neighbors. Friends may call at the MYERS-WOODYARD FUNERAL HOME, Groveport on Monday, January 14th 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a Masonic service at 7 p.m. Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, January 15th at 1:30 p.m. Pastor Zach Brown officiating.
