Obituary for John F. “Johnny” Haas John F. “Johnny” Haas, 80, of Benicia passed away Tuesday in a local care home. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and has called Benicia his home for the past 33 years. He worked as an electrical engineer at Chevron Refinery in Richmond for more than 23 years before retiring in 1997.

In his spare time he built all kinds of electronic equipment including computers. Above all, he loved on lived for his family. He is survived by Dorothy, his wife of 55 years; sons Jeffrey (Cathie) and Daniel (Suzanne) Haas; daughter Cindy Haas; sisters Joan Schaltenbrand and Mary Lou Kramer and his grandchildren Kevin, Margaret, Meredith, Megan & Tyler.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 9, 2018 at St. Dominic’s Church, 475 East I Street, Benicia. Burial will be private. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of John F. “Johnny” Haas please visit our Sympathy Store.
