Pytel, 87, of Elmwood Park, formerly of Jersey City, passed away on May 21, 2019. After serving as a paratrooper in the United State Army, he served as a Police Officer for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey for 37 years until his retirement in 1994. He was also an usher at St. Leo’s Roman Catholic Church and a tireless caregiver to his disabled daughter, Abby.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Pytel; his children, Amianna, Abby, and Jason; his son-in-law, Count Stovall; his daughter-in-law, Danielle Pytel; and his three beloved grandchildren Cianna, Savannah, and Justin. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name to the Easter Christian Children’s Retreat (www. eccretreat.org) are greatly appreciated.
