John Fredrick Slaybaugh, Jr. was born February 14, 1969, the firstborn son of John and Barbara Dawn (Knapp) Slaybaugh. On July 7, 2018, at the age of 49, John was taken from us to be with his mother. John was preceded in death by his motherBarbara in 2008.

Surviving are his father John Slaybaugh, Sr., brother Jay Allen Slaybaugh, sister Dawn Ranae Vogler, several nieces and nephews, numerous friends from LaCrosse, Rochester and Tippecanoe. John loved “drowning Worms” and caught… Read More » many prize fish, one being a 6 foot shark weighing over 200 lbs. off the Gulf of Mexico.

It was released back into the Gulf. He was a great NASCAR fan and pro wrestling fan. His favorite was Hulk Hogan.

John was a carpenter by trade, amongst other skills and he was quite the prankster and jokester. He loved his father very much and tried to follow in his footsteps. He was thought of very highly by his friends and relatives and will surely be missed by many.

Services will be held Thursday at 10:00 am at the Alvin and Martha Graber family residence in Macy, IN followed by a meal provided by the Grabers. They and John thought of each other as family. The Graber’s address is: 2607 E. Macy-Gilead Road, Macy, IN.
