John Goda, Jr., 89, of Cabot, passed away on July 4, 2018 at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot. Born January 29, 1929 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of John and Elizabeth Tupta Goda . John served in the US Army in Korea.

He had worked at AT&T and Bell Telephone as a Supervisor retiring in 1988. He was a member of the Zion U.M. Church in Sarver and was an avid golfer and also enjoyed bowling. Surviving are his wife, Rose Ellen “Roe” Goda whom he married February 15, 1958, 3 sons, John M. (Amy) Goda of Bradenton, FL, Matthew E. Goda of Kailua, Oahu, HI and Stephen A. (Tammy) Goda of Pittsburgh, PA, 2 sisters, Margaret Ellenberger, of Pittsburgh, Sylvia Goda of Pittsburgh and 8 grandchildren Mackenzie, Kyle, Collin, Carson, Madison, Caleb (Sarah), Hannah and Lenya He is preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Michael Goda Friends will be received on Sunday, July 8, 2018 from 2-6 pm at Fox Funeral Home, Inc., Saxonburg, PA.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 9, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Zion U.M. Church with Rev. Robert H. Wilson officiating. Everyone is to meet at the church.

Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the Zion U.M. Church Building Fund.
