John Howard Lamb July 08, 1957 – May 13, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Funeral services for John Howard Burnice Lamb age 62 of Shelbyville, will be held at 11:00 am Friday May 17, 2019 in the chapel of Doak-Howell Funeral Home with Bill Doak officiating. Burial will follow in the Smotherman Cemetery in Rutherford County. Mr. John departed this life suddenly, Monday night at his home.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 7:00 pm Thursday evening at the funeral home. A native of Bedford County, he was the son of the late Howard Burnice Lamb & Anner Vera Leathers. He was a man that loved to be outdoors working in his flower gardens and doing general yard work, mowing, raking leaves.

One of his favorite hobbies was that he loved antiques and collected many fine pieces. He worked for Newell Rubber Maid as a quality technician before he became disabled. He was a person that acted goofy all the while trying to make people laugh.

The love he had for his Yorkies, Coco, who is deceased and his current buddy Bently spent a lot of good times together. Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Louise Edwards Lamb, daughter; Jessicia Alyse Lamb and boyfriend, Clayton Edgil of Shelbyille and sister Kay (Joe) Kelly of Tullahoma.
