Obituary for John J. Allen Print To know John Allen was to love him. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of our husband and father, John Allen. John was born and raised in Bronx, NY and very proud of his “homeland”.

A graduate of All Hollows High School and Manhattan College, he was a die hard Jaspers basketball fan. In 1973 John married Kathleen McGovern and moved to Cortlandt Manor in 1979. Over the course of their 45 year marriage, John and Kathleen welcomed two daughters.

John was a lifetime member of Lake Mohegan Volunteer Fire Department, an active member of the Yorktown Elks and Catholic Kolping Society of New York. John is survived by his wife Kathleen, daughters Meghan and MaryBeth (Daniel Knecht), his brother Edward (Kathleen) and sister Virginia and sister in law Ming and many nieces, nephews and cousins who all love him dearly. John is predeceased by his brother Dennis, and beloved boxer Otto.
