LEXINGTON- John J. Carty, P.E., 88, husband of the late Agnes M. Carty, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2018. He was born in Roxbury, MA on April 28, 1930 to the late Thomas M. and Jennie H. Festa Carty. Mr. Carty was a Professional Engineer for R&P Industrial Chimney, Inc. and a member of Pax Christi Catholic Church.

He was also a veteran in the United States Navy, having served in World War II and the Korea Era. He is survived by his daughters, Stephanie (Scott) Loeser, NY and Sharon E. Carty, Lexington; his grandchildren, Sean D. (Gina) Jensen, Joseph R. Olivo, Cristina M. Olivo, Georgeanna (William) Johnson, Samantha E. Smith, Scott R. Loeser, Jr. and Caitlin M. Loeser; his great grandchildren, Tyler J. Jensen, Jack H. Jensen, Haylie S. Johnson, Graham R.Loeser and Henry E. Johnson.

In addition to his wife of 58 years, he is preceded in death by his sons, William D. Carty and John J. Carty, Jr. and his granddaughter, Jamie Carty. A Funeral Mass will be 11:00 AM Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Pax Christi Catholic Church with Father Nick Pagano officiating.
