Wiggins, 86, died Sunday, February 11, 2019 at East Georgia Regional Hospital in Statesboro. He was born in Moravian Falls, NC, a retiree from the U. S. Air Force where he had served in both Korea and Viet Nam. John served in the presidential squadron during the John Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson administrations.

He later was a division manager for Sears. He attended the Grace Community Church in Perkins. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years Nettie Faye Bland Wiggins, son, David Wiggins and sisters, Ila Wiggins Mills and Vergie Wiggins Price.

Visitation will be Friday from 11:30 am until funeral services at 1:00 pm at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home with the Rev. Walter Hall officiating. Survivors include his son, Thomas “Tom” E. Wiggins (Fran) of Marietta GA; a daughter Patricia Hall (Walter) of Millen GA.

; a sister, Edna Wiggins Bell of Gastonia, NC; Six grandchildren Joshua Hall (Jill) of Euless TX, Stephen Hall of Buford GA, Timothy Hall (Ella) of Douglasville GA, James Hall (Winter) of Statesboro GA, Suzanne Williamson (J R Ray) of TyTy GA, Kristen Wiggins of TyTy GA. ; seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
