John “Jack” Edwin Walker, 83, of Owensboro passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at the home of his daughter surrounded by family. He was born on June 5, 1935 in Daviess County to the late Hardin Davis Walker and Anna Pearl Peak Walker. He retired from The Hon Co. as a supervisor after 40 years and was a member of Southside Church of Christ.

He enjoyed woodworking, listening to music, spending time with his grandchildren and fishing in “Paradise”. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Beneta Roberson Walker; a great-grandson Timothy Lamb; and his brothers and sisters, Louise McLimore, Bill Walker, Jean Barlow, Margaret Slagel, and Marvin Walker. Survivors include his sons, Glenn Walker (Angie) and Tim Walker (Deborah); daughters, Cheryl Zoglmann (Glenn) and Robin Everly (Stuart); 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Edna Rhinerson.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday October 26, 2018 in the chapel at James H. Davis Funeral & Crematory. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation is from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday and after 9:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
