John Jovanelly, 85, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2019. Born February 20, 1934 in Hawk Run, PA to Henry and Stella (Mollica) Jovanelly. He served in the US Army during the Korean War.

John was retired from The Aliquippa & Southern Railroad and US Air. He was preceded in death by his parents and 10 Brothers & Sisters. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Beverly.

His son, Dr. Greg Jovanelly and his wife Carol, as well as the pride of his life, his grandchildren, Gianna, Dominic & Sofia. Jack was an avid sports fan and during the 1970’s, was a fixture in both the Moon Crescent Athletic Association and Moon Baseball Association, where he made a multitude of friendships that would last a lifetime. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jack’s memory may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.

StJude.org. Note that at Jack’s request, there is to be no viewing and to assemble at the church. His Funeral Mass will be held at St. Margaret Mary Church on Saturday June 1 at 12:30 PM.

Entombment to follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
