Obituary for Mr. John Lee Sherrill Steed Mr. John Lee Sherrill Steed, 70 years old of Awendaw, SC, entered rest on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at home. He is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James and Estelle M. Steed. Those he leaves to cherish his memories are his brothers Mr. William Bryant Steed of Awendaw, SC and Mr. Arthur (Kathleen) Steed of Denver, CO.

two sisters-in-law, Rev. Anna L. Steed and Mrs. Willa Mae Steed both of Awendaw, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mr. Steed, also, has six brothers and four sisters who preceded him in death: Richard, Hazel, Leon “Bill”, James, Jr., Maxie and Edward Steed, Ruth Gray, Letha, Delores, and Elizabeth Steed.

Mr. Steed was a Dedicated Usher at Union AME Church, until his health failed. He was a true caregiver, by taking care of his parents, his siblings, his nieces, nephews, neighbors, and other relatives. Mr. Steed loved all types of animals, especially horses, cows, goats, hogs, dogs & cats.
