Obituary for John Ledford Sr. John Lewis Ledford Sr., 73, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018. Born on July 28, 1944 in West Virginia, he was the son of the late Dennis F. and Ruby Brown Ledford, and was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Ledford; and a brother, Richard Ledford. Mr. Ledford was a truck driver for 16 years with Food Lion.

John’s favorite things in life were golf, western & war movies, playing Rook & Rummy, and watching Yankees baseball. His love of God and family was his of his strength. He is survived by his wife, Judith Mills Ledford; son, John Lewis Ledford Jr. and wife, Laurie; grandchildren, Austin Shiloh Ledford, Josh Daniel, Caitlyn McCraw, and Taylor McCraw; brother, Dennis F. Ledford; sisters, Edith Wells, Beverly Cole, Libby Dozier, and Debra Lynn LeRoy.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2018 in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 450 Courthouse Road, Princeton, West Virginia 24740. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 1, 2018 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E.
