McKinley, 60, of Hazle Township, died Tuesday at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton. Born in Hazleton, June 19, 1958, he was a son of the late John Jr. and Mary (Matrishion) McKinley. Although John was not in the military, he was an active member of the McAdoo VFW 6708 and Hazle Azalea Fellowship Masonic Lodge 327.

John was also very active in Faith UCC church where he served as a Lay Pastor. Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents was his brother Joseph McKinley Surviving are his sons John McKinley of Virginia; Justin McKinley and his wife Pamela of North Carolina; and daughter Jennifer Singley and her husband Ryan of Hazle Township; sister Josette and her significant other Jeff of Slatington; brother James Mckinley and his wife Carolyn of McAdoo; grandchildren Daniel, Rebecca, Dante and Brody; niece and nephews Jessica, James Jr., Kendall, Joseph, Sara and Matthew. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 18 at 11:00 AM at Faith UCC 21 Faith Dr. Hazleton, Pa 18202.

A private burial will follow the service. Friends may call at the church the morning of Saturday, May 18 from 10:00 AM until time of service. Krapf and Hughes Funeral Home, Inc. is assisting the family through their Hazle Chapel in Hazleton.
