John Miller, 87 of Fergus Falls died Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at Pioneer Care in Fergus Falls. John Robert Miller was born on October 24, 1931, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota the son of Robert T. and Irene A. (Slack) Miller. He was baptized and confirmed in Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church and graduated from the Fergus Falls High School in 1949.

He entered the US Air Force, had been stationed at Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines, Goodfellow Air Force Base in Texas and Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland. John served twenty-one years retiring as a Personnel Technician in 1972. After his discharge he attended college, graduating from Fergus Falls Community College in 1974, and then Moorhead State University in 1976, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting.

He enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting and softball where he did a lot of pitching. John was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. He is survived by two sons, Joey (Jennifer) Miller of Tacoma, WA and Robert Miller West Fargo, ND; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, Celia (Johannes) Albrecht, Serenity, Justin and Lanlani of Colorado Springs, CO and Cameron Proctor of Graham, WA; and by numerous relatives and friends.

John was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Thomas Miller and an infant brother; and one sister, Mary Miller. There will be a Memorial Mass at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Fergus Falls next August, with the time announced at that time.
