Obituary for John O. Drometer Mr. John Othmar Drometer, age 75, passed away on April 18, 2018. Mr. Drometer, of Cannon Falls, MN, spent his most recent time between Grayson, GA and Lake Sinclair. He was the son of George Nicholas Drometer and Lois Haley Drometer and was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Hernke and a sister-in-law, Sheila.

Mr. Drometer attended University of St. Thomas where he was an outstanding athlete on the football team and received his Master’s in Business from UNC-Greensboro. Mr. Drometer was a six year veteran of the US Army Reserve. He worked 30+ years with General Mills, including 9 years with Gorton’s where he met his wife, Christina.

He then worked with several companies in the Atlanta area before retiring at age 70. He was a beloved member of the Marshall’s Farmstand family of West Gloucester, MA. He loved his family and enjoyed his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Christina Marshall Drometer; Children, Nicole Marie (Tom), Ian, Haley (Chris), Kelsey (Britney); Grandchildren, Jasper, Rhiannon, Liam, Ellianna, Miles, Collin; Brothers, Bill (Sheila) of Greensboro, NC, Fran and brother-in-law Don (Mary) both of Cannon Falls, MN; Sisters, Janet (Don Gorman) and Helen (Bob Shogren) both of Spokane, WA; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family requests donations be made to the Donor’s choice of cancer research or foundation or to the East Lake Sinclair Fire Department in John’s memory.
