Obituary for John R. Demaree Sr. Print John R. Demaree, Sr., 75, of Milroy, passed away at 11:38 p.m. on Friday February 15, 2019 at his home. Born August 19, 1943 in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Jay and Mary (Rook) Demaree. John will be remembered and missed by his loving wife, Linda (Bower) Demaree, children, John R. Demaree, Jr. of Milroy, Tracy L. Clark, of Va.

, and Billie J. Keiser of Milroy, step-siblings, Steven Demaree, of Milroy, Jaylene Lepley of Reedsville, David Demaree, and Scott Demaree of Md. , 6 Grandchildren, and 4 Great-Grandchildren. John was enlisted in the U.S. Air Force.

Earlier in life, John was employed at Powers Trucking Company in Lock Haven, and later at Len’s Dairy, both as a truck driver. John was a man with a great sense of humor that was often referred to as “Mr. Fix It”, or “Milkman”. He always enjoyed working on any kind of engine.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Private arrangements are under the care of The Barr Funeral Home Inc. and Crematory, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown. Online condolences can be offered to the family at www.
