John Rusch O’Brien age 83 of Glen Ellyn passed away on December 29th, 2018. He is survived by his brother Kevin (Julie). His children Sean (Kathy), Erin (Steve) Basler, Kerry (Amy), and Holly (Tony) Ligenza.

His grandchildren Jack (Amy), Blake, Annie and Evan O’Brien, Jason and Morgan (Cassie) Fox, Cassie and Carly Basler, Halley and Connor McLean, Michan O”Brien and Jessie And Mary Ann Ligenza, grandchildren Anthony & Isabella Fox, nieces Jennifer (Joel) Judlin, Tina (Charlie) Gentile, Deborah Golden & Alison O’Brien and nephew John (Susanne) O’Brien. He was preceded in death by his parents John R. & Helen R. Mallen and his wife Marguerite. John was an avid golfer, enjoyed various card games and bowling.

He enjoyed a long career working for various insurance companies including Kemper, National Casuality Life & Reliance. He also prided himself with being Chairman of The Board for Marketing & Opportunities Inc. Funeral Mass at 10 AM at St. James the Apostle Church, 480 S. Park Blvd, Glen Ellyn. Interment will be private.
