John T. Mulvey age 83, of Algonquin passed away on February 22, 2019 at JourneyCare in Barrington with his loving family at his side. John was born in Chicago on August 24, 1935 to James and Mae (Blaskowski) Mulvey. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard.

He was an avid golfer, sports lover and a Chicago Bears and Chicago Blackhawks fan. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Antonietta “Ann” (DeIulis) Mulvey. They were married in Chicago on November 12, 1960; also children, James (Laurie) Mulvey and Sharon (Mike) Meszaros; his grandchildren, Ashley (Mike) Schuch and Brooke Hartman, Samantha Meszaros and Max Meszaros; his great-grandchildren, Sophia Janaszak, Marlee Hartman, Joseph Schuch; his brothers, James (Rita) Mulvey and Michael (the late Ursula) Mulvey; also survived by two nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Cremation rites were accorded privately. A private family memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2019 from 11:00 AM until time of a 11:45 AM memorial service at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1415 W. Algonquin Rd.

(one mile east of Randall Rd. ) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Heart Association would be appreciated.
