OBITUARY John Thomas Jones May 14, 1942 – October 17, 2018 John Thomas (Tommy) Jones passed away on October 17, 2018, at the age of 76. He was a member of Everett Hills Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon. He was retired from the Aluminum Company of America where he had worked for 35 years as a machinist.

He is preceded in death by his father Irie Jones and his sister Louise Arp. He is survived by Barbara Jones, his wife of 58 years, his son Mark Jones (Paula), his daughter Karen Russell (Steve), his mother, Mary Jones, his brother Albert Jones and his sister Irene Graves. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Amy King (Stephen), Elise Erskine (Ben), Blake Russell (Caitlin) and Evan Jones (Danielle), as well as three great-grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. at Everett Hills Baptist Church on Friday, October 19, 2018. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Sherwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum at 3 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the building fund of Everett Hills Baptist Church, 401 S. Everett High Road, Maryville, Tennessee 37804.
