John Truman Lapp, 70, of Finzel, MD, passed away Monday, April 29, 2019, at his resident. Born April 30, 1948, in Frostburg, MD, he was the son of the late George Lapp and Virginia (Tharp) Lapp Butler. He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Everett Butler; three brothers, Ralph, Larry, and Robert Lapp; one sister, Sandra Kay Lapp.

John retired from the Maryland State Highway Department after over 25 years of services. He is survived by one son, Brian Lapp, York, PA; two brothers, George (Shirley) Lapp, Grantsville, MD; Kedrick (Debra) Lapp, Salisbury, PA; one sister, Margaret Foy, Salisbury and numerous nieces and nephews. John was a very private person and the family is doing a private viewing only, per John’s wishes.
