John Vernon Hillman Jr., 72, a lifetime resident of Woodbury passed away on July 12, 2018. He was a mailman for over 40 years in Woodbury, Woodbury Heights and Deptford, retiring in 2007. John graduated from Woodbury High School in 1964 and served in the US Navy.

He enjoyed the Class of ‘64 monthly lunches with his classmates. John is survived by his mother Florence (nee Sibbits) of Woodbury; 3 children Rhonda Hillman Kline of PA, John V. III of Woodbury & Dana Hillman of Westville and their mother Veronica; 2 sisters Florence (Stephen) Meyer of Woodbury & Grace (Dave) Gabel of Pilesgrove; 3 grandchildren Joelle McElyea, Nicole & Cory Cain and 3 great grandchildren Emma Zirkle, London Moody & Elijah Livingston. He was predeceased by his brothers Edwin & David Hillman.

Visitation Monday 10 am until the service at 12 noon at the DAVIS & WAGNER FUNERAL HOME 171 Delaware Street, Woodbury NJ. Interment with Military Honors at Woodbury Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Purple Heart Foundation.org or the American Lung Assoc.
