Page age 66, passed away on March 24, 2019, surrounded by his family at Mary’s Hospital Madison, after a short battle with cancer. He was born to J. Wayne and Marjorie (Gasser) Page on August 5, 1952. John lived his entire life in the Sauk Prairie area.

John was united in marriage to the love of his life Debbie Suchla on May 17, 1975. After high school John enlisted in the National Guard. He served on the Prairie du Sac Fire Department from 1974-1983, retiring as Captain.

John, along with his father, he owned and operated Page Enterprises Cub Cadet Dealers. After John sold the business he went to work for Everett’s Body Shop and Towing, where he thoroughly enjoyed driving the “big” truck. He was then lucky enough to work side by side with his best friend, Gary Rausch at Cenex Transportation in Reedsburg, until it closed.

He then moved to L & N Tractor. John ended his transport career doing over the road truck driving, “Sweetie” his big rig. He loved his time driving and spent more time with “Sweetie” than anyone.

In his younger years he enjoyed shooting pool, trap shooting and driving fast. He found joy pulling the camper to Florida with his children and later his grandchildren. He was an avid collector of American Flyer Trains.

He enjoyed hanging in the pole shed with his buddies and dogs, drinking beer and watching someone else work. He is survived by his wife, Debbie, 2 daughters, Jamie(Paul) Gibbs and Pamela Page; grandchildren, Blake Gibbs, Ethan Gibbs, Ashlyn Gibbs, Cade Powell, Wyatt Gibbs, Aidan Powell; his sister, Patricia(Donald) Yanke; In-laws, Mark and Vicky Suchla, Jeff and Sharon Suchla, Brad and Melanie Suchla, and several nephews, nieces, and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, J. Wayne and Marjorie Page, grandmother Esther Page, also father and mother in-law Henry and Ruth Suchla.

A visitation will take place on Sunday, March 31st from 1-4pm at Prairie du Sac Fire Department, 855 17th St in Prairie du Sac. Monday, April 1st there will be a visitation from 11-12, followed by Words of Remembrance Service starting at 12:00 at Hooverson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers a memorial will be determined by the family at a later date.

John was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
