John W. Jespersen, 95, of Rock Island, passed away Saturday November 10, 2018 at UPH Trinity, Rock Island. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 12 Noon to service time at the funeral home.

Private inurnment will be at a later date in Rock Island National Cemetery, with military honors presented by Moline American Legion 246. Memorials may be left to Trinity Anglican Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice. John was born on September 30, 1923 in Luverne, North Dakota, the son of Louis and Jennie (Porse) Jespersen.

He married Phyllis Kautz on November 16, 1946 in Minnesota. Mr. Jespersen was a United States Navy Veteran having served during WWII. John was the past owner of Team Electronics in Rock Island.

John was a member of Trinity Anglican Church, Rock Island, the Vikings Club, Moline and Moline American Legion. Formerly he was a member of the Moline Elks Lodge.
