Please bring a story to share about John. John Williams Burton Jr, 61, succumbed to his battle with cancer on April 13.

2019. He passed surrounded by loved ones at his home in Antelope MT. John was born to Marjorie Kester & John Williams Burton Sr. on September 16th 1957.

John was raised in the Bitterroot Valley where he spent much of his life. He grew up around his mother’s great cooking and loved the Cinnamon Rolls she would make especially for him. In his late 20’s he met the woman who he referred to as his better half Cindy and lived out the rest of his life with her for 33 years.

All four of John’s children were his blessing by the grace of God. John loved being outdoors, camping, fishing & just relaxing in the lawn chairs on the front porch. He was an avid sports fan of any team(s) his kids and grandkids played on.

John was a quiet and humble man who spoke with purpose and humility. John spent much of his career in the Mining industry and always showed leadership and purpose through his dedication to the job while providing for his family. John & Cindy traveled worldwide during his tenure.

They often joked about being nomadic, but were fortunate to meet and become friends with so many great people from all different walks of life. John was the ideal family man, a great friend a loving husband and father, but above all he was a devote Christian. John is survived in life by his wife Cindy (Ueland) Burton of Antelope Montana.

His four children, Kimberly (Jim) Cummings of Great Falls Montana, Chaz (Breana) Burton of Lakebay Washington, Brittany Burton of Coeur d’Alene Idaho and Levi (Destiny) Burton of Dickinson ND as well as his father in law Ron Ueland of Antelope Montana and three siblings (Dorthy Taylor, Richard Burnett and Linda Thomas) . John also had many grandkids, cousins, nieces and nephews whom he loved and cherished all very much. John is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Tom Turner and Mother in law Ann Ueland.

Please join us for a celebration of his life at the Antelope Community Center in Antelope Montana from 4:00-7:00pm on Friday April 19th. There will also be small celebration in Stevensville Montana announced with a later date.
