Johnnie Mitchell age 86, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma passed from this life on Monday, February 11, 2019 in Idabel, Oklahoma. Johnnie was born on March 28, 1932 in Broken Bow, Oklahoma he son of John H. and Oma Opal Mitchell. He was of the Baptist faith.

He loved to rodeo, gardening, and spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed his wagon and team of mules. Johnnie also raised several of his nieces and nephews and others that didn’t have a home. Johnnie is preceded in death by his parents, John and Oma Opal Mitchell; children, James Edward Mitchell; brother Sonny Mitchell and infant brother, Moreland Felix Mitchell; sister, Silvilee Mitchell and Jean Mitchell; grandson, Jimmy Richards Jr. Johnnie leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Sarah Mitchell; children, Mary Sue Richards of Texas, Charlene Whisenhunt and husband Ronald of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Gary and Wayne Mitchell and Tommy Mitchell and wife Sue of California; sister-in-law, Ruthie Mitchell Cunningham, and a special niece, Sherri Sharp and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. in the Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel with the Bro. Jimmy Westbrook and Bro.

David Thurman officiating. Interment will follow at Watson Memorial Cemetery of Oak Hill.
