Johnny M. Vasquez, 73, passed from this life to the next on Friday, March 22, 2019 in Temple. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at 11AM at the Assembly of Yahweh, 109 CR 280, Rising Star, TX. The family will receive friends at Edwards Funeral Home in Ranger on Tuesday from 5-7PM, and a graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at 1PM at the Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger.

Johnny Mendoza Vasquez was born on February 25, 1946 in Ranger. He was a graduate of Ranger High School, and was self-employed as a master carpenter. Mr. Vasquez enjoyed learning about homeopathic remedies, collecting coins, and was a member of the Assembly of Yahweh.

Preceding him in death are his parents; brother, Cruz Vasquez; and sister, Nancy Mayo. He is survived by his sons, John Vasquez and wife, Carmen and Joseph Vasquez and Ashley Sharp; daughter, Monica Buford; fiancé and caregiver, Donna Dial, brothers, Emeterio Vasquez Jr., Luis Vasquez, and Alfonso Vasquez; sisters, Fern Vasquez, Hillary Vasquez, and Teresa Ponce; and 5 grandchildren.
