Jonelle Bandy died Sunday, March 3, 2019 in Amherst, Texas at the age of 88 years, 10 months and 24 days. She was born April 9, 1930 in Lubbock, Texas to Joe Bailey and Cecile Eliza (Adams) Foster. She married Dewey J. Bandy in Sudan on August 31, 1947.

Jonelle graduated from Sudan High School in 1947. She and her husband, Dewey owned and operated a dairy in Oklahoma. Jonelle delivered Meals on Wheels in Sudan, and volunteered for Toys for Tots as well as the Sudan Celebration.

She was voted Woman of the Year and Volunteer of the Year for Sudan. Jonelle was an active member of the Sudan Church of Christ. She is preceded in death by her husband, “Bandy” on September 16, 1980; her parents; one son, Joe Bandy on May 4, 2018; two brothers, Cal Foster and his wife, Anne and Frank Foster; one granddaughter, Lindsey Bandy; three great-grandsons, Joseph Soto, Ishmael Soto and Kaden Edwards; and one great-granddaughter, Kinley Bandy.

Jonelle is survived by her two sons, Mike Bandy and his wife, Misty of Gage, Oklahoma and Calvin Bandy of Lubbock, Texas; her three daughters, Nancy Wilkins and her husband, Darrel of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Linda Bandy of Comanche, Oklahoma and Cecie Edwards and her husband, Gary of Earth, Texas; her daughter-in-law, Kathy Bandy of Milledgeville, Georgia; sixteen grandchildren, Kim Markland, Debra Casey, Jeanie Soto, Tonya Dobrinski, Sonya Brown, Jennifer Thomas, Kristy Scott, Keri Ramirez, Jessica Price, Colby Stice, Brian Wilkins, Brent Wilkins, Angie Hargus, Lori Berten, Erik Edwards and Lisa Provence; thirty-six great-grandchildren; fifteen great-great-grandchildren; and two nieces, Brandi Dalton and Michelle Arend.
